Skazka Labradors

LITTER INQUIRY INFORMATION

Labrador retriever is a breed that you will either love or hate.  Spend as much time as possible around them before you decide if this is the breed for you.  Labradors are great dogs with which you can raise your children.  But please remember that adding a new puppy to your family is like adding another baby.  The first year especially takes a lot of commitment in training etc.  So, think about whether you are ready to add another baby to your family at this time.

We do not produce large numbers of puppies or keep large numbers of dogs.  We feel very strongly that careful, selective breeding is carried out with concern for the health and well being of our Labradors and the future of the breed is our obligation.  Puppies are sold with a written contract and a guarantee.  Our puppies are raised as part of our family, and as such, are not easily parted with!  Our puppies are very special to us, and we take their placement very seriously.  We screen their prospective homes as carefully as we hope you are screening breeders.

All of our companion (pet) puppies are sold with a CKC Non-Breeding Agreement.  The CKC uses this form of registration to assist breeders in preventing the inexperienced and uninformed breeding of puppies.  For more information on Non-Breeding Registration, please visit the CKC website at www.ckc.caWe strongly recommend that all companion (pet) puppies be spayed or neutered by the age of one year.  Spaying or neutering early will not only avoid unwanted and unplanned breeding, but it will also eliminate or lessen the likelihood of the dog developing serious medical conditions later in life, including certain types of cancer.

Our puppies will Not go home before the age of 8 weeks.  By the time our puppies go home they will have received a health examination by our veterinarian and the necessary vaccinations for their age, and will go home with an appropriate health guarantee.  It will be the new owner's responsibility to then complete all puppy vaccinations in order to ensure full immunizations are maintained for the puppy.  All dogs that we use for breeding have been screened for Hip Dysplasia and heritable eye disease and we only breed dogs that are clear of these problems.  For more information on these health clearances, please refer to our LINKS page.  Every Skazka puppy comes with a Puppy package.
